Not Fit For T.V.

I can't tell you how many times my husband and I have been watching television and some feminine hygiene commercial will come on and he will turn to me and say "why?". As if the fact that I have in my body a uterus I automatically understand why on earth anyone would cover a beach chair with a giant maxi pad or approach someone in a grocery store and discuss that "not so fresh feeling". I wish I could help him understand, but he is asking the wrong person. So I was wondering if anyone could help me with my "why" commercials.
==== The entire series of commercials put out by whatever drug company thinks it's okay to show: a stomach "hopping" around on its colon or rater what is at the end of your colon that I would rather not say because this is a family blog; or a giant lougi being hacked or evicted or whatever you want to call it from someones chest, why don't they just show a person mid-sentence making that telltale "chewing" face and mumble "excuse me" and spit it into a tissue: and THE WORST, a nasty yellow toenail being RIPPED UP and group of fungi DIGGING into the skin underneath!!!
==== The Carl's Jr. Commercials that feature people making chewing noises that would justify homicide and dripping ketchup and mayonnaise on themselves.
==== I saw the most DISGUSTING commercial for a sponge the other day in which a woman takes a piece of RAW CHICKEN and rubs it all over her stove, refrigerator, etc. to illustrate how irrational it is to clean with something that has to be cleaned because in America everything should be disposable.
==== Just some things that add to my insomnia: someone, probably several someones have to come up with these ideas, which are then approved by other someones, directed and produced by yet others, how many people in this world are actually sane?
